Rejection Free Marketing - The Right Way to Use a Capture Page While Marketing Online

Posted in ,

Your CAPTURE PAGE should never sell your product or service. It should not provide phone numbers or email addresses. A CAPTURE PAGE should create an intense curiosity and "Wet the appetite without satisfying the hunger" about what you have to offer.
The goal of your CAPTURE PAGE is not to sell your product or service. The goal is to "Capture" the Name, Email address, and phone number of a prospect. Once they enter that information into your web form (aka lead capture form) and submit it, they will be forwarded to your Bonus Page that will do the selling. The submission of the web form will also trigger a series of auto-responder messages (a series of emails that will automatically be sent on a schedule of your choosing).

(The Bonus Page and the follow-up emails will do the selling)

If you try to sell your product or service on the CAPTURE PAGE, you would have to be very, very lucky to make money online. Most prospects will not pull out their credit or debit card or enter their PayPal info into the first random web site they see online. They are inherently skeptical about any new thing they see. They will usually need more information and have a degree of comfort/feel safe before even considering making a purchase online.

People only do business with other people that they Know, Like, or Trust.

The CAPTURE PAGE should promise to provide something for FREE as a part of them 'opting in' by submitting their name, email, and phone number.

Promise to give them a FREE Report, a subscription to a FREE Newsletter, a FREE Gift, a FREE Bonus, a FREE Idea, a FREE whatever. I think you get the point.

People love the idea of getting something for FREE!

You are not asking them to pay for the FREE item. You are only asking them to provide their name, email address, and phone number (and you can even leave the phone number part optional).

This is how you generate a "List."

Make sure that you make good on your promise by delivering what you said you would. This is CRUCIAL! This is how you develop credibility. Remember, people only do business with other people that they Know, Like, or Trust.

As your prospect gets your FREE item and is pleased with it, you are developing a relationship of trust and establishing yourself as someone with whom they would consider doing business. As you continue to provide FREE or other valuable information, only then will your prospects be open to occasional sales pitches from you. If you start the sales pitch from day 1, they will unsubscribe or opt-out of your "List."

Good luck with your Internet Marketing!
